NIGMS Repository Showcased at Influential Genetics Conference

03/2016

Researchers and clinicians from around the world converged in March for the 2016 American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting.

The five-day conference, held this year in Tampa, Florida, is an occasion for professionals in medical and clinical genetics and genomics to provide comprehensive diagnostic, management and genetic counseling services for individuals with, or at risk for, genetically influenced health problems.

The NIGMS Human Genetic Cell Repository (NIGMS Repository) at Coriell was represented at the meeting and Coriell staff interacted with attendees, including medical and clinical geneticists, genetic counselors, patient advocacy groups, and others.

Coriell’s principal investigator for the NIGMS Repository, Dr. Nahid Turan, was present at the Coriell booth exhibit and shared a poster at the meeting titled, “The NIGMS Human Genetic Cell Repository: A research participation opportunity for individuals with inherited diseases and chromosomal abnormalities.”
