| Remarks |
Chinese hamster ovary-derived fibroblast cell line CHO-9, a subclone of the CHO-KK cell line described by Burki et al (Mut Res 69:347-356,1980). CHO-9 has normal sensitivity to UVB radiation and was the parental cell line for a series of DNA repair deficient mutant cell lines, including: CHO 43-3B (Wood and Burki Mut Res 95:505-514, 1982), the ERCC1 -/- excision repair defective cell line (van Duin et al Cell 44:913-923, 1986), and the wild type parent of EM-C11, the XRCC1 mutant cell line (GM16133), and of XR-C1, the XRCC7 mutant cell line (GM16135). |
