| MORPHOLOGIC DIFFERENTIATION IN VITRO |
Kato and Wakabayashi (In Vitro Cell Devel Biol 24:274-280,1988) studied the responses of this human retinoblastoma cell line to substratum-bound laminin, fibronectin, or collagen in serum containing medium. In this study, the morphologic differentiation of GM01232 cells was induced specifically by laminin bound to poly-D-lysine pretreated plastic surface substratum. This effect was not observed for fibronectin, collagen, or poly-D-lysine alone. Dibutyryl cyclic AMP maintained and promoted the differentiated status and at the same time inhibited cell growth. |
