Confirmation Clinical summary/Case history
Species Homo sapiens
Common Name Human
Remarks The donor had a history of moderate dementia, impaired memory, visuospacial disorientation, dyscalculia, a diffuse EEG and cortical atrophy on CAT scan. Negative family history for Alzheimer disease. Onset of the disease was at age 59 and was confirmed at autopsy. The culture was initiated on 5/19/83 using explants of minced skin tissue taken ante-mortem. The cell morphology is fibroblast-like and the karyotype is 46,XX; normal diploid female. A lymphoblast culture from same donor is AG06868A. The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product.
