| Remarks |
The fat tissue was removed from the subject's arms, neck and jowls ante-mortem during elective cosmetic tumescent liposuction on 8/30/02. This primary culture was initiated on 8/30/02 by collagenase digestion of fat tissue. This culture tested negative for the endothelial cell-specific von Willebrand factor, negative for alpha-smooth muscle actin and positive for Cy3/Vimentin (immunofluorescence assays). 74% (at passage 3) and 21% (at passage 8) of the cells observed showed adipogenic differentiation. THIS SAMPLE WILL ONLY BE SHIPPED FROZEN. |
