Remarks The donor is a clinically affected member of a family with Alzheimer's disease. She has a 5 year history of abnormal mental status, including disorientation, aphasia and absence of memory, but no spasticity. Fibroblast cultures from 2 affected sibs are AG04401D & AG04402A. The biopsy was taken ante-mortem. The culture was initiated on 10/17/80 using explants of minced skin tissue. The cell morphology is fibroblast-like. The culture us a mosaic with karyotype: 46,XX/46,XX,t(1;7)(1pter>1q25:: 7p15>7pter;7qter>7p15::1q25>1qter); balanced; 88%/12%. The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product.
