In the November edition of NJ Monthly, writer Ken Schlager shares his experience as a Coriell Personalized Medicine Collaborative study participant. Mr. Schlager discusses his customized risk reports for complex diseases and medication response, how they surprised him, and what he learned from them. He also highlights his discussion with CPMC Genetic Counselor, Tara Schmidlen that focused on the importance of non-genetic risks, including family history and environmental factors.

As a follow up to his article, Mr. Schlager joined Dr. Arnold Pallay, director of genomic medicine at Atlantic Health System, in a radio interview to discuss the value of receiving risk reports for actionable health conditions.
