Alissa Resch, PhD

Scientific Advisor to the President

In my current role as the Principal Investigator of the NHGRI Sample Repository for Human Genetic Research, I oversee all aspects of the International HapMap and 1000 Genomes sample collections. Management of the NHGRI Sample Repository includes maintenance and distribution of high-quality cell lines and DNA to the research community. I draw on this expertise to manage the Human Reference Genome Sequencing Center project, and to make strategic decisions as needed. I have extensive experience in biobanking and the management of large NIH repositories, as well as in genomics and bioinformatics.
