Fosmid Availability and Ordering Instructions

The NHGRI Repository also includes a collection of Fosmid Libraries prepared from several samples in the HapMap Collection:

After selecting the fosmids desired utilizing data available from Clone DB at NCBI, fosmid clones can be ordered through the NHGRI Repository by the following mechanism:

1. Create a spreadsheet containing the library and clone ( for example: ABC21-2273EC9) identifiers from the information in the NCBI trace archive for all fosmids being ordered.
2. Create an electronic order, providing all required customer information, as well as the NHGRI Assurance Form and a Statement of Research Intent, if not already on file.  Please see the NHGRI How to Order catalog page for more information.
3. Enter "Fosmid" on the first line of the electronic order for items ordered and in the remarks section enter the specific fosmids being ordered.

Fosmids will be shipped as glycerol stocks on dry ice. Pricing information is available on the NHGRI Pricing Information catalog page.
