A new State sponsored placental and cord blood research bank
The NJ Stem Cell Resource (NJSCR) was created by executive order No. 61 enacted into law by Acting NJ Governor Richard J. Codey on October 18th, 2005.
The mission of the NJSCR is to supply NJ scientists with the highest quality stem cell research materials. Through the support of the State of New Jersey, the Coriell Institute will establish a research bank that provides umbilical cord blood and placenta stem cell samples. Together with the NJ Cord Blood Bank, which also has its home at Coriell, we can provide both basic and clinical stem cell products for NJ, and the globe.
