The Coriell Institute Cytogenetics Laboratory is a state of the art facility that combines Classical and Molecular Cytogenetic analyses with Copy Number and Loss of Heterozygosity analyses by Microarray.
The laboratory is equiped with a network of five Applied Spectral Imaging work-stations that are used to perform G-band Karyotyping, Spectral Karyotyping, and Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization. Detailed analyses of unbalanced chromosome rearrangements are performed using the Affymetrix Human SNP Array 6.0 in collaboration with Dr. Norman Gerry and the Genotyping and Microarray Center. Protocols including one or more or all of these analyses can be specifically tailored to your projects requirements.

Coriell Cell Repositories protocols have been optimized by routine application in the quality control analyses for the various collections curated by the CCR. Most researchers will find their needs meet by combinations of existing procedures. The CCR will also consider redesign of these protocols or implementation of new protocols to meet the requirements of your research project.
