Education
“The Nobel Prize is fine, but the drugs I’ve developed are rewards in themselves.”
Gertrude B. Elion (1918 – 1999)
American pharmacologist who shared the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 1988 for the development of drugs used to treat several major diseases.
Discoveries. Breakthroughs. New Understandings. They are all rooted in education. A young student is sitting in her biology class this afternoon; she has the potential to work in a Coriell laboratory.
This is why we invest so much time to several initiatives that support scientific education. From our Science Fair which recently celebrated its 30th year, to our workshops in cell culture, and soon, our strong partnership with Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, Coriell is committed to supporting and advancing students on their academic journeys.
